Holden performed minor miracles turning the Vauxhall Viva 4 cylinder into a giant killing Bathurst winner in the GTR XU-1, ably assisted by the brilliant driving of a young Peter Brock. With the LH and LX - Holden retained the Torana name but added it to a larger, locally designed sedan and lather a hatchback. Again - it became a Bathurst winning legend with Holden’s 308 cubic inch V8. SLR 5000 and later the A9X created yet another local performance legend.
