Formed in 1906 Lancia quickly established a reputation for innovation, over the decades being the first to pioneer full electrical systems, Independant front suspension, monocoque chassis, and after World War Two - the first with a 5-speed gearbox. Lancia also first introduced both the V6 and V4 engine configurations. Classic models include the Aurelia, Flaminia, Fulvia, Beta, and 1970s rally champion - the amazing mid-engine V6 Stratos.

The Lancia Stratos HF Zero - or 0 - was first shown to the public at the 1970 Turin Motor Show. The low-slung, futuristic bodywork was designed by Marcello Gandini, head designer at Bertone. Featuring a 1.6 litre V4 from the Fulvia production car, despite its incredibly low stance the Zero was a full working concept car that could be driven.
The Stratos Zero was exhibited in the Bertone museum for many years. Rightfully recognized as one of the great show cars, the HF Zero was displayed at the 2012 Sculpture in Motion: Masterpieces of Italian Design exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.
