Dodge took it’s time coming up with a direct competitor with the pony cars from Ford and Chevy, but when they did, they didn’t do it by halves: enter the Challenger. Low and w-i-d-e, the Challenger looked menacing standing still, and if it was packing 383, 426 or 440 cubes - it was ready to take on all comers. If you wanted muscle and luxury - you could order the SE with limousine style small rear window, vinyl roof and deluxe interior. Offered as a convertible and coupe, the Challenger was as beautiful as it was brutal.
